Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Polish Embassy in Dublin organised a seminar Business Opportunities in Poland - Discover Polish Regions and Special Economic Zones on 19th May 2011. The event took place in Dublin Chamber of Commerce and gathered over 60 Irish business people.
Comprehensive information on economic cooperation opportunities were presented by representatives of Polish Embassy, Investor Assistance Centre of the West Pomerania (Zachodniopomorskie) Voivodeship, Special Economic Zone in Wałbrzych "Invest-Park" and two Irish companies operating in West Pomerania Region. Experience of waste utilization and reuse in Poland was presented by a recycling company Recopol, followed by characteristics of running a web design company that also offers professional translation services (MK Design Studio). There was also a presentation of Ireland Poland Business Association.
Large interest in the event from Irish business community confirmed that despite the economic crisis, that Ireland is still facing, Irish entrepreneurs are looking to establish and widen existing relations with Polish partners. This is true in all sectors from production (outsourcing) to commercial and investment. The event organised by Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Polish Embassy in Dublin was also an opportunity to present other special economic zones in Poland and underline that help is available from Investor Assistance Centres in many Polish regions.
